This weekend was the harvesting and crushing of the grapes at the Darland's. The grapes start their process of being slowly turned into balsamic vinegar, a process which takes nine years the way the Darland's make it. It was a magical all day, all night event with people and family visiting from all over the country to participate, not to mention a lot of awesome local folks.

Wow that seems like a great way to spend a day. I love spending time at my cousin's vineyard during the harvest and seeing the first crush of Cabernet. What kind of grapes are those?
