I will be hosting the low cost clinic about every six weeks. Our Health Council recently lost all of our state funding and we are really winging it in Sierra County. We are the poorest county in one of the poorest states in the union.
Good for you Claire! I'm glad someone is organized and skilled enough to help. The last time I was in NM I realized that in America, being middle-class meant you could go to the dentist. Nothing more. There was a lot of needed dental work in the people I met. And dental work is just the visible starting point of health. I mean you can notice if someone never had braces or their teeth are black but it's harder to notice heart disease in your waitress as she pours you another cup of coffee. You know what I mean? Good for you Claire!
